Great Feature Story On HD By CBS News

This is the best job the national media has ever done on the story of Huntington's Disease.

I don't know how long this link will be available but you can view this Eye On America piece from the CBS Evening News here. A written article is here along with another link to this video.

Main subject of their feature was Jake Dowell, the UW-Madison hockey player & Chicago Blackhawk draftee. (Previous items on Jake Dowell.)

On tonight's Everwood (11/29), one of the main characters revealed that her dad is dying from HD. Her friend then researched the disease, it's symptoms and the genetic factors. Then later in the show they discuss her being tested. I can't believe how much pub HD is getting recently...On the web site WB only mentions it as a "family secret"....

Realizing that his feelings for Amanda (Anne Heche) are only growing stronger despite his best efforts to maintain a platonic friendship, Andy (Treat Williams) decides it's in both of their best interests if he refers her husband's case to Dr. Abbott (Tom Amandes). Upon hearing news that Madison's band is performing in town, Ephram (Gregory Smith) seeks guidance from Bright (Chris Pratt), signaling a thaw in the boys' chilly relationship as of late. Finally, Amy's (Emily VanCamp) curiousity unearths Hannah's (Sarah Drew) family secret.
